by Jed Lewison
Dear Mitt: Please, please, please. Please, stop smacking your lips so much.
Seriously, though, congratulations to Mr. Romney for becoming the 2012 Republican presidential nominee. And for winning the first annual Daily Kos lip smacking world championship at the very same time. What an honor.
p.s.: Every single one of the 101 lip smacks in this video is unique.

Body language of A liar
In certain situations, you can tell a lie not by what you hear, but what you see. A Persons physical movements will give him/her away every time. (39,665 posts)...At night, she's started to tell us bedtime stories. It's super cute, and while the plots are predictable the characters change constantly.
Anyhow, she smacks her lips before each new development is imagined: " Smack) Once upon a time, (smack) there was... (smack) a unicorn named ... (smack) Twinkie. And she lived... (smack) ... in a ... (smack) ...lollipop forest!"
Mrs. Robb and I had remarked to each other upon it, as it's a "gesture" that shows up any time she's making up stuff out of whole cloth, e.g. any creativity moment -- stories about her toys, a trip to space she once had, etc.
