I'd venture to guess drawing on a weather map with a sharpie isn't exactly against Federal law.

(And don't get weather advice from Donald Trump).

and your "venture" is FUBAR, mate. Maybe you should stick to whatever it is you do.

As a retired military air-traffic controller, I can cite you this:

18 US Federal Codes, Section 2074 states: "Whoever knowingly issues or publishes any counterfeit weather forecasting or warning of weather conditions falsely, representing such forecast or warning to have been issued or published by the National Weather Service, the United States Signal Services or other branch of government service, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than 90 days or both."

And the problem isn't that he just drew with a sharpie. He TOLD the country and, specifically, the State of Alabama that they were going to be impacted by a Category 5 hurricane when they weren't even in the cone.

the US government qualifies as a "branch of government service" ?

I'd add that to the list of why he shouldn't be President but my list is long enough already.

composed of three branches of equal power (supposedly), I'd have to say "yes."

And I'd add that should our lists get any longer, we could wrap ourselves in them to muffle the sound of further additions to the list.

Trump used the words "mostly wind", which, if one considers it, describes everything he says.
