(17,257 posts)When you look at utter devastation like that scene, and you know there were few safe places for residents to seek shelter from such a powerful storm, the consequences are cataclysmic. Many will have disappeared, washed away, never to be seen again.

(23,296 posts)I really wish they had. My sister in law said they had nowhere to take their 3 rescue Great Danes...they live in a multimillion dollar home...at least they have a second and third floor. Dorian visited you as well?

(23,296 posts)Im really getting tired of winter up here in the north country...moving snow 5+ months a year is hard and yet, I wouldnt trade it for hurricanes. The stress! So glad to hear you weathered it okay.
