Alex Jones: Infowars De-Platforming Like Racial Segregation

Alex Jones, the right-wing conspiracy theorist heading Infowars, compared his recent shut-out from major social media and streaming platforms to racial segregation during the 1950s.

Jones and other Infowars staff have been traveling the gamut of grief since major tech platforms started denying service to Jones on account of the vicious smears, ludicrous conspiracy theories, violent rhetoric and endless disinformation flowing out of Infowars on a daily basis. Infowars has been removed from Apple, YouTube, Facebook, Stitcher, Spotify, Pintrest, YouPorn, LinkedIn, MailChimp, Vimeo, and more. Since receiving the bans, Infowars has claimed it is receiving millions of new listeners and viewers but, one week later, we can’t find anything that indicates that to be true.

As the list of services and platforms denied Jones and Infowars continues to grow, the tone among Jones and his cohorts has become increasingly desperate and hyperbolic. Last night, during a broadcast on Periscope—the streaming service owned by Twitter, and one of the few places Infowars is still readily accessible—Jones compared receiving the boot online to the Jim Crow racial discrimination protested during the Civil Rights era.

“They don’t have a right to do this. This is discriminatory, like not letting black people eat at the lunch counters or ride on this bus. This is evil. This is wrong. Patriots and conservatives and nationalists are being persecuted while the left tries to use internet giant systems to bully us,” Jones said.

Earlier in the broadcast, Jones showed off correspondence he had with a lawyer with whom he claims to be working to produce a report for President Trump about internet censorship, which he has mentioned in prior episodes.

Hey Alex let me spell it out for you very clearly:

The sites you mentioned? They have rules. You broke them. Repeatedly. You can't break the rules and expect that you'll get to keep your accounts. Hell, you'd most likely break the rules of your own forum's TOS. K thx bye!

Didn't he hate all gubmint during Bush?

Didn't he push 911 thruthiness?

But I guess his racism pushed him to love gubmint.

But, then again, his lawyers admitted in court that he's just playing a character.

Oh well.

6. Yes exactly. Private and corporately owned websites are not public forums.

And even if they function as 'social' gathering places, YOU SIGNED THE EULA--- which means you have no rights, Alex...NONE.

Now, if the Evil Liberal Government would nationalize the internet as critical infrastructure, despite the understable outcry from every sector of American Capitalism that you claim to slobber over and choke on in an effort to show how much of a Real Man Patriot you are---then you might be able to claim you're Speech is being violated...

But thay day ain't today, and it aint likely its gonna be tomorrow.

They're not getting censored because they're conservatives posting on an internet forum. They're getting banned because they're hateful douchebags, and people aren't putting up with their crap anymore. Oh and "shadow banning" - not a thing.
