Mariana Atencio on MSNBC

This woman truly possesses empathy. She is in Nassau, Bahamas speaking with people who have been evacuated from other areas.

After speaking with each person, most who have been looking for relatives, she puts her hand on their shoulder or gives them a hug. You can hear in her tone how she is upset by what she is seeing.

I agree - while some people might say it’s not ok to “touch”, I think she knows in these moments that touch and empathy is what is needed...

On separate - but relevant note: think of those poor children who were separated from their parents at the US border and who have not had touch and empathy.

I think she previously worked for Univision? In a previous career, she may have been a model?
