He said "everything is destroyed, everything is gone, there is nothing but bodies left". I took the last to mean that he was seeing lots of corpses.

What is even worse is knowing that this administration does not care and will do as little as possible to help them. It will be up to the rest of us to donate to get them back on their feet again.

with that he has seen but he said the smell of death is everywhere. When that storm was coming on shore I was going out running errands and I felt very badly because I knew at that moment people were going through literal hell and I'm about to go out shopping!

somewhere in the Bahamas, not sure exactly where.

The flight was from the shore to inland of an urbanized area and the impact appeared to be utter destruction.

My mind immediately went to where did the people go for safety?

There did not appear to even be a safe zone where a helicopter to land to stage recovery effort.

Hope the Navy and Marines, plus their ships and air support, and many medical folks are headed that way now.

Aside: What are reports out of Cuba?
