Trump called Fox News correspondent into Oval Office to argue he wasn't wrong about Alabama

ONE. SICK. FUCK.

(CNN)Fox News senior White House correspondent John Roberts had just finished his 3 p.m. live shot on Thursday when President Donald Trump beckoned him into the Oval Office.

The President had one argument to make, according to an internal Fox email Roberts sent about the meeting provided to CNN.

"He stressed to me that forecasts for Dorian last week had Alabama in the warning cone," Roberts wrote. "He insisted that it is unfair to say Alabama was never threatened by the storm."

Roberts' analysis of the meeting was that the President was "just looking for acknowledgment that he was not wrong for saying that at some point, Alabama was at risk -- even if the situation had changed by the time he issued the tweet" on Sunday morning, in which he said the state "will most likely be hit." The President also provided Roberts with graphics to make his points.

And my avatar pic is of my last one.

Bostons, like most bulldog breeds, will grab onto something - a toy, a piece of rope, whathaveyou, and not let go, and will hold on with such tenacity that you can lift them very high off the ground.

Trumpy is like a bulldog that has grabbed something and won't let it go, but now that thing has him dangling over a cliff, and as such, HE CAN'T LET GO NO MATTER WHAT.

Of course, the primary difference between Trumpy and a Bulldog is Bully's and Terriers have charm and dignity.

....who simply could not master him. She must have fallen in love with an adorable lively puppy, right? Terrier puppies as a class are so cute and smart I understand the temptation.

But the dog I met was solid muscle with a brain to match. That young woman needed to find him another home with someone like you, and I hope she did, because I think he would have been fine in other hands. She needed to start over with a breed that just lives to please, like maybe a Sheltie.

Your dog hanging from the branches is a very handsome boy, btw.

into his face. President Obama let the birther bullshit fester until he had to try to quell it with a copy of his birth certificate, but by then it had taken on a life of it's own. Hillary made no direct mention of the cases where Trump had cheated people or outright walked away from paying debts, even pennies on the dollar repayment. When our side does not directly confront Trump, he slithers by us.

What the fuck difference does it make if it would have been correct two days earlier? It was dead wrong when he said it.

If Dumfuck Donnie had paid attention to the briefing he was attending, he would have known things had changed in the forecast. My guess is that he didn't pay attention and had a cheat sheet with notes for his "impromptu" comments. This was prepared by an aide to help him appear presidential. Instead of thanking them for the briefing and simply saying let me know what else you need. He has to show everyone how "smart" and "in control/on top of the situation" he is. I'd give him an FAIL on this one (and many more).

Why can't he just say "I'm sorry I gave outdated information"?

You have the answer above "ONE. SICK. FUCK."

i think it reflects a general worsening of his mental/psychological state. I really do. I think on top of his multiple pathologies (NPD and other personality disorders, sociopathy, etc), he has dementia. there's just sort of a laser focus on this particular faux pas that he cannot let go. he's done much worse than give erroneous information. he could have said nothing and it would be over, but now it's his reaction to the reaction that amplifies the story, which is not a pretty one.

He's always had symptoms, altho they may have been mistaken for neuroses.
And he was a big loud fish in a lush but small pond, compared to now.
back then, few people openly challenged his behavior. He bought off/ sued the ones that did, so he had some illusion of control over protecting his "brand".

It don't work that way at a national level. Too many eyes, too far from his control.

I can imagine that the psychological stress being a long tailed cat in a roomful of rocking chairs
is increasing the progression of his mental problems.

That forced him into other stupid actions. In the end, our candidate must make it possible for the vast majority of Americans to see Trump for the inadequate fool that he is. What we need is his MAGATS being so depressed by him looking like an idiot and our candidate pointing that out, that they become too embarrassed to show up to vote, not likely for MAGATS, but we can lower vote from the republican leaning fence sitters.

Democrats should play that clip and also the one of him with toilet paper on his shoe. He would absolutely blow his top.
