Billie-Jean King just said she wants Serena to win the US Open to tie Margaret Court and then go on to Australia and pass her.
That was a beautiful match from Serena. 6-3; 6-1 - to the final.

Funny thing, you can tell a lot about a person about the transition of power/respect. Numerous players are/were fine with other coming up and breaking their records. Some you can tell really mean it, others you can tell are a bit disappointed.
I remember Eric Dickerson being elated on a local Los Angeles broadcast when someone chasing his record had a bad game. I remember Ricky Henderson gloating when he passed Lou Brock(?) for the stolen base record, only to be the second story on ESPN because Nolan Ryan pitched his last no hitter.
Point being, there are assholes who want to pull the ladder up once they have success. There are others who want to reach down and help the others up. BJK gets is, she isn't intimidated by those coming up, she is giving them moral support to create a new pinnacle.
