He never said it at the beginning of the Hurricane. He said it about 4 days later. The Hurricane was slamming SC and NC. There had been more than a dozen updates on the Hurricane. Did he not see any of them while he was golfing? None of them mentioned Alabama. So why did he?

He didn't include Alabama "at the beginnings of Hurricane Dorian," he included Alabama on Sunday morning. This was 100 hours after the projections for Dorian showed a mostly westerly path had been superseded. At the time of his Sunday morning tweet, projections had been updated to show that Dorian would give Alabama a complete miss and turn northward up the Atlantic coast.

It's as if Trump tweeted out best wishes for the Kansas City Royals in the American League playoffs because they won their first two games of the season. (The Royals aren't going to the American League playoffs.)
