Trump drags his Alabama hurricane claims into 6th day

Donald Trump isn't letting it go.

The president on Friday continued to defend his misleading prognostication for the path of Hurricane Dorian, assailing the news media and in the process, digging in and reviving the controversy for a sixth day.

“The Fake News Media was fixated on the fact that I properly said, at the beginnings of Hurricane Dorian, that in addition to Florida & other states, Alabama may also be grazed or hit,” Trump said in a series of tweets. “They went Crazy, hoping against hope that I made a mistake (which I didn’t). Check out maps.”

“This nonsense has never happened to another President,” he continued, complaining that he’d been subjected to “four days of corrupt reporting, still without an apology. But there are many things that the Fake News Media has not apologized to me for, like the Witch Hunt, or SpyGate!”

Trump is doing what he always does. Distract with nonsense stuff the real issues of impeachment and social issues.

The Emperor is parading down main street buck naked. We all see his shortcomings. We all see his sycophants (Sean Hannity, come on down!) trying to tell us that he's wearing the most exquisite apparel ever made. Trump's also trying to rewrite the facts (at times literally so) and failing.

It has passed from a simple mistake to a sterling example of Trump's inability to face up to a mistake. This is an easily graspable point, even for the most committed of his followers. Yeah, political junkies like us at DU are way ahead of the curve on this, but it's an accessible episode for educating low information voters or those not paying very close attention. I've used it quite successfully as Troll-B-Gone over the last few days: "Does this look like leadership to you? How does it help with relief efforts for Trump to be deliberately and unnecessarily confusing people? Is his ego so fragile that he can't just let such an obvious mistake go? A normal person would have said, "Oops, my bad; shouldn't have mentioned Alabama." Why can't Trump do that? Is it because he's bought into that whole King of Israel second coming of God thing? Because that's decidedly not normal, you know."

Unsurprisingly, Trump's partisans want nothing to do with that conversation.

a BIG "Fake News Media" run something that starts with: "WE WILL NEVER APOLOGIZE!"
Then list ALL of the bullshit regarding his own "ass-holian" positions and actions regarding this latest display of mental decay.

I'm thinking that we've found THE burr in his butt (ew! - ugly mental visual ) and we need to keep on it - drive him over the edge!

do right-wing groups like "Focus on the Family" support this d-bag?
Really?
You're having a "revival" - a "come-to-Jesus" meeting - and you play excerpts of damned near ANY of his quotes anywhere about anything (grabbing p***y, caging kids, immigrants are thieves and criminals), and then you talk about the "love of family" - and you quote scripture:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Gospel of St. Matthew 5:3-10

Really, how can they even stand up in public?

Do you hear ANYTHING in there that sounds like anything IQ45 has ever professed?

Sharpicaine Donald has stalled.

I was speculating on the idea about what would happen if he got stuck in an OCD loop. One wonders how long it could last?

It is something that seems possible for an unstable ignoramus of his caliber. Hmm?

So why is he surprised that people are sick of his lies?

Does the Republican leader ever stop whining?

If he's not lying to Americans, he's whining about something.

Give us a break.
