How does one post a photo here?

I have a sharpie photo that I created on Paint on my computer but, I can't seem to figure out how to post it. Thanks.

You have to first put it up on a place like Flickr, then grab a link from it and paste it here.

The basic gist is you can't upload pictures directly to DU so you have to get them hosted on the internet and copy the link to your picture and paste that link into your post. Use the direct link to the picture.

You can literally copy the direct link to a picture from anywhere on the internet and paste it into your post to put it here BUT you run the risk of the hosting site changing the picture without changing the link (might get a bannable pic instead of the fuzzy puppies you thought you were getting) or moving/removing the picture which will get you a broken link here and no pic. SO it's safest to use one of the image hosting sites.

*Edit to add credit almost where it is due: It was a DUer who turned me on to Postimage but I forget who.
