The 52-year-old justice wrote A Republic, If You Can Keep It because Americans should remember that their political opponents love this country as much as we do, Gorsuch said in an interview with The Associated Press in his Supreme Court office. The book is being published Tuesday.

Have a beer, Neil. I'm sure fellow Justice Brett will tout its soothing, therapeutic qualities.

(6,916 posts)Dems should be calling for Gorsuchs impeachment. It will never happen in todays Senate. But we should build popular support for impeaching Gorsuch. And yes, the Constitution allows the House to impeach judges for the reasons they deem proper, including being nominated by a president who stole the election into a stolen seat.

(6,916 posts)- talk about impeaching the Trump judges- get the idea out into the zeitgeist
And when we take the White House in 2020:
- expand each court by two seats for every Trump judge, to nullify their votes. This is totally possible: can be done with simple majorities in Congress and with the president in D hands.

Levitz was responding to the presidents expressions of contempt for Puerto Rico, as another hurricane closed in on the island, and to a Trump-Pence fundraising email declaring, of the Democrats, this is our country, not theirs.
There is an undercurrent of "Only we are true Americans" throughout the entire republican party.

(111,078 posts)He permitted himself to be nominated as Supreme Court Justice, knowing that Merrick Garland had been on hold by Mitch McConnell for a year. Mr Gorsuch knew that. Yet, he permitted it to continue and to allow his name put forth. Did he have to do it? Would almost everyone else have done it? After all, Supreme Court Justice.
