Trump has infiltrated our entire government with his disciples from hell, including the military.

I have said this before, it's like a horror movie, It's like the Omen. Trump has people everywhere in the government who will break any law in order to protect Trump. I have to assume he has disciples from hell who will sabotage the election process. This is why I believe impeachment must happen. The Democrats must start holding more open hearings. It is time to pick up the pace of the impeachment inquiry. You do that with open hearings.

I do not believe impeachment will help Trump in the election. I believe it will hurt him badly even if the Senate does not convict.
We need open hearings on impeachment televised everyday to show the American people how corrupt Trump and his people are. It is time for the Democrats to get mean, to be brutal.

Trump is going to get more and more evil as we head into the election. The Democrats must understand the great evil they are facing. Hoping to win the election is not enough. Trump is not going to hope he wins the election, he is going to cheat. The Democrats must use every power, tool they have to destroy Trump, including impeachment. Over the next two months we should know how serious the Democrats are about impeachment. I believe the Democrats are starting to realize impeachment is no longer a choice. It must happen, the survival of our democracy depends on it.

I have been trying to figure out how many articles of impeachment the House could bring against Trump. It could easily be in the dozens. Trumps entire presidency is an impeachable offense.

holding him back. Therefore, IMO, impeachment proceedings should begin as soon as logically possible. Otherwise, the perception IMO will be that the democrats did nothing. Now, I know a lot has been done ... but it is the perception that bothers me. Proceeding with impeachment would tie up a lot of loose ends and probably give the lay public a better focus. I think these are highly dangerous times ... far more than the general public currently comprehends.

ridiculous. If the House doesn't impeach he will claim innocence/vindication.

It is amazing how many here repeat the ridiculous point as a reason not to impeach when tRump will claim vindication regardless. WHO THE FUCK CARES WHAT HE CLAIMS!!

There are four options/outcomes

1. Do nothing and wait for the election - he likely loses but the corrupt Repubs ramp it up to the next level the next time they win.
2. Impeach in the House, don't send to the Senate - Evidence get's out, creates a talking point that the Dems won't work with Repubs.
3. Impeach in the House, Senate doesn't convict - Evidence get's out, Repubs are forced to defend the indefensible.
4. Impeach in the House, Senate convicts.

Doing nothing is a horrible option. The media created tRump, the media promoted tRump, and the media will jump on the meme that Dems are weak.

We need to knock the shit out of the Repubs AND the media. Doing nothing is a horrible option and will cost the Dems, maybe not in 2020, but it will eventually.

Politically speaking, the Democrats need to step up their game.

They need to go on an offensive. They need to communicate to people how serious this investigation will be. They need to start calling witnesses, starting with Stormy Daniels. The unlawful act of paying off a porn star and model, to keep them quiet right before the election, was and is, a violation of campaign finance laws.

I would agree that a couple of leaders need to emerge from the Congress and lead these investigations.

First of all, they would need a strategy...

Sat Sep 7, 2019, 03:18 PM

They could overwhelm them with subpoenas, as a beginning.

They could have a one-week presentation on live TV. A different witness each day.

They could begin with Stormy Daniels. Could she be paid off? How much money did she receive? What did she receive the money for? Was the money to keep her quiet before the election?

They could subpoena Cory Lewandowski and see if he could validate his story that he told to Robert Mueller? Just what was he asked to do? Was he asked to influence a decision by the Attorney General, Jeff Sessions? Was it about ending the Mueller investigation?

They could subpoena Rod Rosenstein and ask him of his recollections when he was asked to write a memo about why James Comey should be fired? How he felt used and deceived? How he must of felt when he was threatened with impeachment if he did not give Trump's allies on the House Committee all the classified information they were asking for? When did he go thru his transformation?

They could subpoena a couple of former Chiefs of Staff, Reince Preibus and General John Kelly. They could pick their brains for any useful information. It would make for interesting TV.

They could subpoena some lesser known aides and secretaries, who took notes and knew a lot about how the operation at the White House was being run.

They could subpoena the guy from National Enquire, Mr Pecker. How could a pecker not draw a crowd?

They had all their judge candidates and other "officials", as well as list of policy changes, all ready to go when they were able to get a hold of the presidency and the senate. This is why they are ignoring the Russian interference (and clearly, some are even a party to it), because it is simply a means to an end.

Their only power comes from lying, cheating and stealing, as is the case with any small faction trying to gain power. The only way they could win was to lay a groundwork that enabled people to be manipulated, and then to manipulate them. A huge part of getting away with it is putting their people into positions of power in each part of government.

The only reason Mueller could not find conspiracy was that they were prepared for the search, and (along with the experienced Russians) are good at hiding it. It absolutely does not mean that no collusion happened.

At this point impeachment would be little more than a gesture. Not because the Senate would fail to convict, but in fact because our government, the government that existed from Washington to Obama has collapsed. Obama was our last President. Our government is not dysfunctional, it is non-existent. There is a certain reality that can no longer be ignored or resisted. That reality is trump, even in the case of an overwhelming election loss, will not relinquish his current seat of power. When I said this same thought on other threads, there were those who told me that we can depend on the military or the secret service to escort that madman from our White House in the case of his election defeat. Given what we are seeing I now retort: REALLY!?!

We have now reach a point in this farce where I say we can no longer depend on the actions of elected representatives to rescue us. They have proven now without fail that this will not happen. It's now time we say to ourselves individually what am I going to do.
