A couple of talk shows this morning mentioned that voters were exhausted with Donald Trump. I wonder if they were talking about the voters or talking about themselves?
Personally, I think everyone is exhausted with the insanity. It's not funny anymore. It's not just the "libs" that are getting exhausted. It is everyone.
We cannot even escape the wrath of a hurricane without some distraction or diversion. The media is quick to remind us that he used a "sharpie" to alter an official weather map. Also, it was illegal.
But, not to worry. The "sharpie" story would soon be gone. He had set up a "secret" meeting with the Taliban that would be completed sometime around the anniversary of 9/11 attack upon our country by the Taliban and her allies. The friggin' Taliban!
So, is the media exhausted? Yeah, I guess they are?

Some in the cable news have worked hard, also.

When a President Calls a W H Reporter into his Office for a ass chewing, wow, something is really wrong. Roberts was a light weight at CBS and is still a light weight. Another Ron Burgundy. All image and not a true Reporter. Got the good hair and the two grand suites.

(5,591 posts)The overall media obviously has no idea how to handle this freak. Nor do they have the general courage to attempt to handle him. He controls and uses them. If they aren't exhausted, they aren't paying attention.
Voters have been utterly exhausted since halfway through the campaign. For different reasons.
Voters who support his belligerent chaos relish the insanity and thrive on vindictive adrenaline and their "exhaustion" manifests itself in abject stupidity and meanness. However, even they run out of steam when everything is always about the God Complex Cretin.
.
Voters who oppose him ache from the constant battering of bigotry, misogyny, stupidity, inhumanity. We are bone weary and, much like those suffering from a chronic pain disease, we are depleted, worn out daily.
The Cretin sucks the life out of everything.

If their collective knees are sore from all the butt kissing, then boo hoo. They can cry all the way to the bank.
Or stop feeding that damn troll and start actually informing the American public of what is happening.

(343 posts)Back in the pre-Trump days it was pretty straight forward as far as the news biz. Fox of course was GOP, the rest kind of in the middle, newspapers, etc. Daily press briefings. A government that was functioning, pretty much not telling the truth all the time but more or less. Corrupt politicians, but they basically just did the party line thing. But then Trump. He blows the whole thing up. He lies constantly, no more press briefings, he's an idiot, even the GOP does not know what to do with him, and the news media is still in shock over their role in getting him elected. What might get rid of Trump is that people ARE exhausted, from the media to politicians to everyday people. Trump might do himself in because he can't stand not being the center of attention.
