who don't acknowledge it are keeping Trump and Putin and Moscow Mitch in power.

Wonder if Carter's certainty come from his inside knowledge as former president with access to govt briefings?

The Republican Party and the Federalist society are not democratic institutions anymore than Putin and Trump are products of a democratic election process.

He's almost certainly referring to vote flipping - which we're apparently not supposed to admit to ourselves it happened.

Much to Vlad and Bibi's delight, I'm sure.

We all spend twelve years learning to sit in our seats and do what we are told, when we are told to do it. Ask for permission from authority to even go to the bathroom.

That’s not a slam on teachers, but a description of how the actual years of childhood are spent, in a system designed by industrialists to standardize workers when they were standardizing assembly lines.

We learned Civics. That's how we learned about protest! We learned it was our right!

When did schools quit teaching Civics?

The right wing think tanks got started as a result of concerns about society becoming ungovernable due to an excess of democracy.
Many other strategies.

On the other hand once we regain the Senate and or White House there should be a comprehensive investigation launched to determine how the Russians interfered and whom they were working with inside the US to do it.
One possible person is of course Moscow Mitch and if they can prove he did the Russians bidding I would hope he would face criminal charges and not be allowed to resign and retire quietly instead.
