A lot of people don't pay very close attention to politics, certainly not like the political junkies here. But you keep a story like Trump's errant sharpie in the news for a few cycles, and some folks begin to notice. Losing 6% in his approval numbers will drive Trump even further around the bend.

The twitter memes serve a purpose. It's a new world folks, this is how it's done. It makes it harder and harder to for his supporters to support him when THEY are being laughed at too. Sooner or later A LOT of them will go silent and pretend they never really supported him. That's how they do it. They slink away and pretend it never happened.

Statistics can be gathered any way you want. Are you looking for accuracy, or a particular point of view? In this case, the GOP wanted a poll to shore up the rapidly leaving disillusioned conservatives. So they attended a KKK rally and found that 88% of them support DFT.

I have a good friend here at work, someone who I really respect and is a good person. He's an Air Force vet and a pilot. He still supports Trump, but isn't thrilled with him. We don't talk politics much at all, but he's starting to make more comments about how Trump treats people and how he's always created drama.

This guy would have voted for Hillary if Trump and the media hadn't convinced him she was guilty of all sorts of felonies.

I believe this is the voter we can flip, he's conservative, but is a decent person and is sick of Trump's immorality. He's looking to vote for someone else. But I fear that whomever the Dems nominate it will be Hillary all over again with the vilifying. They'll find some deal Warren or Biden made when selling a boat 20 years ago for 10% over market value and they'll turn that into the crime of the century.

Dude is one of the smartest people on the planet, literally. He’s an aerospace engineer and he’s about the smartest person here in a building full of about a thousand aerospace engineers many of whom are MIT grads or ex NASA engineers.

He thinks for himself. He’s just pro gun, anti choice, and has a military slant on everything. And he was a wounded vet and Trump retroactively cut his taxes for his disability payments for years. He got $35K extra back in his taxes and he attributes that directly to Trump. He is the type of FOX viewer who watches Rachel Maddow once a week to try to see the other side of things.

He’s a good family man and does a ton of good in the community. He senses something is really wrong with Trump and is open to thinking. There are good people like him that whoever our candidate is needs to reach.

I'm not as liberal as many here, but I'm still more liberal than some. We have a big tent party, if our candidate can bring the promise of returning the country to some sense of normalcy he or she can get millions of Trump voters to support him or her.

I cringe when threads here seem to be centered around purity tests of our candidates. We have a ton of great candidates, some less liberal than others, every one of them would save the Republic if elected because the Republic is not going to survive another Trump term.

Yet their livelihoods depend on businesses, their clients, their banks thriving. I firmly believe that IF we put up a more centrist candidate, we can win them over. Unfortunately, I also believe that a very progressive candidate will scare them into holding their noses and re-electing Dipshit.
