It made no financial sense when Donald Trump bought the Turnberry Golf Course in 2014. There was just not that much money to be made from golf courses. So why did Trump buy it??
Could it be that Donald Trump got the money from Vladimir Putin himself, or from another Russian oligarch, to purchase the Turnberry? If so, could it be that the taxpayers and the US military are giving money to Vladimir Putin, not Donald Trump?
Also, Turnberry would be a great military asset for the Russians. It is no longer losing money - it is making money. Much of it seems to be from the US Air Force?
If Donald Trump is indeed a Russian "asset", as some have claimed, then this would be one of the greatest scams ever against the United States of America?

(19,038 posts)The crooks in charge of the finances of this country are creative and will steal in ways that no regulator would ever even think to look for.
They will never unravel where it all went. And people think it's a bottomless pit, it's not, when Trump is gone the financial damage could be staggering and in the $Trillions.

(34,661 posts)we get our Golf Course P & L usually the last day of the month with our Community News letter. Said this before,in the last six years,we cash flowed only twice and that was due to a accounting shift.
We as Community owners subsides our Course operational expense to the tune of 10% or a bit less monthly. And of all the Courses in the Vegas Valley, only one cash flows and that is due to its PGA status and sponsorships as well as the mega Membership Fees plus mega Round fees.
My guess is,with Drought working its way back into the Southwest and in the Upper Midwest's trying to work off their major Course repairs after last winters freeze out . We will see a major shake out. Our situation is doable for the next five years at least. We have our own Water Source and our Community Residents are keeping the Course Membership constant so for Budgetary Purposes,we will survive.
