Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas: Pure evil?

This is a topic that I had second thoughts about posting because I don't know Cotton's full biography. Nonetheless, every time I've seen/heard this man, in congress or on TV, the words that come out of his mouth seem to be from a long-gone era.

Almost everything he says sounds like something that Leonardo de Caprio would have said, playing a vile villain in the film "Django Unchained."

It really doesn't take a whole lot of words and expressed ideas to judge a person and where he's coming from. And I'm not wholly sure how you can get "vibes" through a TV. But there's something about Cotton that sets off whatever alarms may exist in my being.

What I'm getting at here is that Cotton's philosophy and world view is, somehow, perverted. I think he's a very dangerous person. My hope is that he doesn't advance beyond becoming a senator and that he's defeated in his next election.

My impression is that this is a man who thrives on hatred. People like him are a danger to democracy, our future, and our freedoms.

He will be re-elected in 2020 unless he takes a position with IQ45's administration. He really wanted to be Sec. of Defense. Maybe he'll take Bolton's job.

Comes from a long line of 'true' Southerners. Thinks he was a hero over in the Middle East.

I couldn't believe he defeated Mark Pryor in 2014.

He's pretty much owned by defense contractors and Wall Street. The man is a "tool" in every sense.

He's not a religious nut. He's in it for the money and no qualms about nuking the whole damn planet if it makes him 50 cents. He'd probably sell out his own grandma for a nickel.

No morals. NONE.

Hailing from Arkansas, 37-year-old Senator Cotton boasts the title of being the youngest member of the Senate, but he spouts the old warmongering rhetoric of 78-year-old Senator John McCain. From Guantanamo to Iran, food stamps to women’s rights, here are ten reasons why Tom Cotton is a dangerous dude.

10 Horrifying Facts About GOP Senator Tom Cotton
Written by Medea Benjamin, Nalini Ramachandran / AlterNet March 12, 2015

1. He penned an underhanded letter to the leaders of Iran that sparked the trending hashtag #47Traitors. On March 9th, Cotton and 46 of his Republican colleagues went behind President Obama’s back by signing an “informative” letter to Iran, saying that a nuclear deal would not last because the next president could reverse it. Secretary John Kerry, one of the lead negotiators in the talks, called the letter “utterly disgusting” and “irresponsible.” Two dozen editorial boards slammed the letter and over 200,000 people signed a petition asking the senators to be charged for violating the Logan Act, a law which forbids unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments.

I've always thought that Cotton is simply amoral. He says and does whatever he thinks will advance his political future. There is nothing more important to him than his political ambition.
