I met MJ Hegar tonight, candidate for US Senate from Texas

You may remember her from her viral campaign video, "Doors," from her campaign for US House vs John Carter in a DEEPLY red district, which she ended up losing by only 3 points.

Now, she is in a primary, running for the chance to challenge Senator John Cornyn, and she is motivated, enthusiastic, positive, and REALLY energetic! She really believes this could be the time we finally turn Texas blue. She said her campaign manager is Preston Elliott, who is a veteran of battleground races, and he believes in her, or he wouldn't have taken the job. They feel Texas is now a battleground state. Also, we're finally getting big monetary support from the national party, instead of being the country's ATM.

And if Texas goes blue, the nation goes blue!

She made me believe we can do this! (blurry pic, but it's all I got!)
