(43,049 posts)I find the black tape works without downloads, memory usage, updates, or worrying if the app really works as advertised.
And it's very easy to uninstall.

(22,571 posts)It's near impossible to find a laptop or tablet these days without a camera.
When my daughter was in a mental healthcare facility this past year she was allowed to have a laptop or tablet, but it couldn't have a camera in it due to HIPPA privacy laws.
I had a Kindle I wasn't using and it cost $90 to get the cameras physically removed, more than the price of the tablet.
