I just had a flashback to May 2016 while at my doctor's

office today. In his waiting room was a Time mag from that month and year. Only one article was about the fucking moron. It was so nice to remember what normal WAS.

The tRump article was an opinion from Time staff and it was about how we have become an "idiotcracy". Basically it said how his supporters were all yelling, "tRump doesn't take shit. He says 'fuck 'em' and he has balls! This is what we need".

I think this is how I knew he would be elected (not popular votes but electoral). "Americans are idiots", I told everyone I know, "so he will win". Unfortunately I was correct. The thing is there are a lot of idiots who still support him despite all the chaos (they love it).

It was nice to go back in time 3+ years while reading the rest of the mag. I miss normal! No wonder I need 32 injections into my skull every three months for headaches.

I have heard (without a lot of confirmation) that some research into using LSD or Psilocybin to treat extreme cluster headaches has been allowed in some areas under very strict controls...

At any rate, I hope that your treatments are making your life better and not just bearable between attacks, it is heartbreaking to see people felled by things like cluster headaches or migraines because the average person or non-sufferer rarely sees them as anything but a bad headache, when in reality they can be totally debilitating. Best wishes to you regardless...

As for American society, this country lost its common sense when Bush was decreed by the SCOTUS, lost its soul when Sandy Hook happened (with no meaningful response), and then lost the last vestiges of its mind when Trump was installed (via the Electoral College once more). We are now THE Shithole Democracy of the planet...

If I didn't have the ACA it would cost $13,000+ every three months...OUCH! It makes the headaches manageable (I still get them but not as bad). My doctor is a specialist and she said a variety of factors cause them.... change in humidity, menopause, a cold or flu, an infection, etc. Research is continuing. Before I started Botox part of the visual problems that came with the migraine were like taking LSD. I hallucinated and I could see through my skin, weird colors and lights, waving surfaces, etc. It would have been fun if all the pain and vomiting weren't there too. I never heard of research with LSD and migraines. I would happily volunteer for that study.
