It would have been the oddest moment of the night, but, well, you know.

(2,711 posts)I thought it was the "security guy" basically trying to stay on course with his assignment.

(3,580 posts)at about the time we hear "no no no don't touch me." But it didn't't look to me like the guy with the earpiece was saying it and his body language doesn't indicate that it was him. He patted Rmoney on the arm.
I wonder if the 'don't touch me' came from someone off camera. Rmoney didn't seem to react to it.

(41 posts)I watched the clip about 4 times and this is what I think happened. Romney is going along, BS'ing and shaking hands. About the last 3/4 of the clip, you see an arm in a black suit reach out and touch Romney on the back of his right shoulder. Romney has his head turned away from the camera, but it sounds like he says to the guy that touched him "no, don't touch me...because I don't like it." I think someone in the background behind the man that touched Romney then yells out "no, no, don't touch me!" kind of in derision of Romney. See if y'all see that same thing.

(41 posts)Romney shakes hands with the older balding man in a black suit with a red tie. Romney moves onto the next person in line and the guy in the black suit reaches out and touches Romney's shoulder. Romney turns his head back toward the guy and says what sounds like "don't touch me...." Romney turns back toward the line of people and says "I just don't like it" or "because I just don't like it." I heard it much better on my good speakers on my desktop computer than I could hear it on my laptop.

(3,580 posts)the only thing Romney was saying was "thank you. thank you. thanks so much."

(1,374 posts)So it's nearly impossible to tell what was going on.
Perhaps it was the camera guy trying to get the shot and someone tried to grab him.
Could have been security or someone reacting to security.

(8,776 posts)Excuse me but Romney and serious or utilitarian Mormons are creepy to me.
I got hit by Mormon Missionaries 2 days in a row this week and I live in an extremely rural and majority American Indian community.
Two young males day one and two older woman with an older man standing back by their vehicle the next day.
Usually I get a middle aged Mormon man once a year that really really gets I am not interested but we talk local history and the natural world. I first met him as the nearest locksmith 40 miles away about 10 years ago before I knew he was an evangelkical Mormon. Several years ago, my neighbors 17 year old daughter had just been killed in an auto accident and I told him it would be a bad time to call ontheir home and he was respectful. Every Mormon I have ever met as a regular acquaintance has been nice and I liked.
The stranger at your door is often pushy to your face. Their theology is batshit crazy and based on a fraud. Mormons are a Tribe that IMHO is in conflict with the Constitution and Bill of Rights and human kindness and decency. It is a darn shame that that most are so nice as their theology is evil.
PS I am none of the above is any poll on religion or theology.
