Some of them could lose, for sure. But every retirement from those safe seats means an open Republican primary, and there's no telling who might win the nomination. Another Roy Moore, perhaps? A nominee who covered up a sordid past only to have a host of skeletons come clattering out of the closet in October?

Running for office is a lot easier for incumbents; now the Republican party is going to have to spend money to defend seats that they'd rather spend somewhere else. I hope Democrats contest every race. There's no telling when some of these newbies might implode.

The KGOP playbook has always been to schmooze voters, get elected, ram draconian legislation down the throats of the non-elite for as long as they can, then just before election turn moderate and kiss butt again.

GOPers think the looting is about to end.

Hopefully, they haven't done so much damage that it can't be repaired this time. We need an educated electorate to break the cycle.

Moscow Mitch's orders.

I was only doing what our fuehrer wanted!

I want all of them prosecuted if they are even loosely connected to scandal.

Even when they are private citizens again. This impunity to ignore the law cannot stand.

Keep looking over your shoulder. You will be served!
