STUDY: Banal anti-Obama Artists becoming Increasingly Web Savvy

Okay, I conducted this study myself by looking at one page of oddly uninteresting head-case and Mara McAfee imitator John McNaughton's web site where he has unveiled by far his least artistically interesting painting to date. But you can click on anything in the picture to get a page of RW talking points about it.

Since McNaughton is perhaps the most obvious artist to have every set brush to canvas this level of annotation is redundant, but it keeps him off the streets. Way off the streets, in fact, since he now has a Cheney-style undisclosed studio location.

I chose to use an undisclosed studio so I could paint privately, without interruption, to focus on the task of embedding in a single painting all the subtle, mindless, radical and dangerous atrocities of the Obama administration...

To those who scoff or wish to trivialize this painting, I challenge you… I DARE YOU… study the links of the various symbols and metaphors that you see. There are over 60 in the painting. No person can analyze this image and learn about these facts and still, in good conscience, vote for Obama in 2012.

I took the challenge... THE DARE... and somehow did not, in good conscience, find myself hankering for president Romney.

This guy is the poster child (a poster he will doubtless create) for wing-nut personaility disorder. He manages to go "full wing-nut" (thereby costing himself an Oscar) on everything! He is a hardcore birther. He falls for every Snopes-fodder fantasy... like that Obama sent the bust of Churchill back to the UK. (Never happened.)

And he challenges Obama's right to redefine the Christian marriage covenant (and impose it by mandate) by endorsing same sex marriage. Look Johnny... I know this may be hard to get through your mind (sic) but Jews get married in this country, under the civil laws of the various United States. So unless all the Jewish friends you probably pretend to have (and the atheist friends you surely do not have) are getting sealed in the Christian marriage covenant by the laws of this land then your argument is F'ing hopeless.

Why is bin Laden's picture part of the evidence against Obama? Is this guy upset that Obama had him killed?

8. Painter of stupid e-mails

McNaughton packed every myth and hoax possible into a visual form...quite the talent.

How good of him to include links to prove each claim....links to honest news organizations like Fox and WND....

Clicked on the Christmas tree to read the fractured story of the "Mao ornament". How helpful of the artist to speculate what other ornaments Obama would like. 99% of the haters will believe they were actual ornaments.

Clicked on the veteran holding a flag. McNaughton did what many excited e-mail senders do - they see the e-mail on the snopes or other website and don't bother to look any further; they think it's proof the story is true. McNaughton included a link that disproves a claim. Probably not the only one he messed up on.

9. I like the rooster!

That's not just any rooster on the lectern next to the President.

That is one of our very own Delaware Blue Hens. As every child raised in Delaware knows two things:

1. The Delaware Blue Hen was known for exceptional ability among colonial fighting cocks; and

2. If you laugh in civics class when Mrs. Comer says that in fourth grade, she'll send you out of the room, but won't explain why. However, you can proudly shout, "Because they are fierce cocks!" on the school field trip to the farm, and get away with it if you do not laugh.

And you can rest assured it is indeed a Delaware Blue Hen, because the artist cleverly chose the first one you find in a Google search, as the model for this fine bird.
