i think executive branch control of the DOJ needs to go away. The AG should become a nationally election position and the election of the AG should be every 2 years (maybe with term limits too?). So you don't get hacks like Bill Barr in there appointed by a corrupt president and approved by his party's senate. That's just to start. Basically you can't have the president in charge of determining whether he is a criminal or not and controlling who gets to decide.

Of all the tell-all Trump books, I found McCabe's the most eye-opening. Today's FBI is no longer Hoover's political weapon. The book is a serious explanation of the rigor and judicial review it takes conduct an investigation of anything, let alone something as important as the Russian probe.

I've read all the big Trump books. The other one that may tell you something you don't already know is Michael Lewis's The Fifth Risk.
