SCHIFF: Potentially Massive Whistleblower Complaint Against Trump Being Withheld From Congress

NEW: Schiff is hinting at a potentially massive whistleblower complaint against Trump or other senior WH officials coming from an intelligence official.

But in a statement, accompanied by a subpoena, Schiff says it's been illegally withheld form Congress.

HMMM: SCHIFF has issued a cryptic subpoena, claiming an intel community whistleblower's complaint has been withheld from Congress -- and could, perhaps, involve the president.

UPDATE:

Just in from a senior intel official:

“We received the HPSCI's subpoena ... We are reviewing the request and will respond appropriately. The ODNI and Acting DNI Maguire are committed to fully complying with the law and upholding whistleblower protections and have done so here.”

and then just binge watch them all day long instead of catching up with the latest depressing news of the day.

I keep off the airwaves on Saturday and most of Sunday. This weekend, we dragged out all of our old CSI (the one in Las Vegas) DVDs and tomorrow, we start testing our powers of observation and start crime solving again.

Next weekend, it is the entire collection of "The Honeymooners" with Jackie Gleason and Audrey Meadows, Art Carney and Jane Kean.

It's a wonderful respite from the sturm und drang of the week's train wreck.

Lots of great stuff I was too young to get back then.

One thing that shows up about once every season is Hawkeye sniffing his food and describing what it really smells like. "If you took a raw egg, put it in an old shoe, and buried it under a chicken coop."

I remember not being happy about some cast changes at the time, but it always seemed to work out pretty well.

Why send his army to our shores when he can make our army his?

If you are smart and ruthless but with limited resources, and facing an enemy who is inept, but has unlimited resources, just make HIS resources YOURS. Problem solved without firing a shot.

All Putin has to say do is have the Russian embassy hand Trump a document proving that Trump is in to Deutsche Bank for $2 billion, and have Deutsche Bank ready to confirm they only agreed to the loan because the Russian government guaranteed the note, and it is still outstanding.

The only question Trump would have after that is whether or not he should have the football gift-wrapped before handing it over.

That's an arbitrary number by the way, but it does seem a bit low, doesn't it?

How republicans can swallow everything this asshole does and keep it down boggles my mind. If a democrat, any democrat, did one of these things there would be self-flagellating republicans on the Capital steps screaming for their head on a pike. They wouldn't even consider impeachment, they'd demand death!

-Tip-off to Putin on our Kremlin spy
-notes taken away from translators, twice at least, when Trump met in the WH after firing Comey with two Russkies and the separate Putin meeting. Or maybe two Putin meetings.
-side bar meeting in Europe we are not aware of.
-Israeli, French, UK, German intercepts of Trump's unsecured cell phone calls.
-CIA, FBI, NSA intercepts per the above.

Good god, so many things our whistle-blower may have learned.

He/She should meet with Schiff and give him the info. If the trump admin tries to stop him/her , he/she can drag legal proceedings until we get back the presidency next year.
I'm sure there will be plenty of people willing to contribute for the defense fund.

So what will happen? Hard to say. At least four possibilities: (i) DNI reveals the information in some form to at least some members of HPSCI. (ii) If not, it's *possible* the whistleblower and/or the IG might take it upon themselves to share w/HPSCI but at the risk of losing their jobs. The degree of that risk probably depends largely on whether ODNI's nondisclosure will be viewed as reasonable or unreasonable. (iii) Litigation--which might or might not take longer than 14 months. (iv) HPSCI finds out after Jan. 2021

... elections in 2016. End of story. The working with hostile foreign powers in an attack on our
democratic institutions, briberies, pay offs, espionage, murder, money laundering, organized crime,
electronic and the media conducting weapons grade propaganda, election hackings and manipulations
of electoral outcomes, unneeded and unending congressional hearings into nothing in order to
hurt Hillary Clinton and "they" used data and information that was stolen by Russia in those hearings, and
now the flat out obstruction of justice by Bill Barr in order to cover up those crimes.

Trump needs to be impeached now and if the republicans in the senate still want to stand with him
fine let 'em.

This "thing" is so big no one person can really get their head around it.
