Can someone please explain to me...

...if the Mueller report was a big "nothing burger," why is Bill Barr trying to shut down Congress getting the Grand Jury transcripts? If there is nothing there, shouldn't he be happy to have it served to the Congress? Wouldn't that further convince the base that the pres'dent is clean as a whistle?

1. Barr is trying to trying to protect the "theory of the unitary executive";
2. It's a trap... Hold off as long as possible, then embarrass the House Dems by baiting them into impeachment that goes nowhere.

Of course, the simplest theory is there is damaging information that will bring down Trump and the Republican Party.

Their argument for grand jurytranscripts would be bolstered.

Trying to straddle the "impeachment/no impeachment" fence doesnt help. It's quite frustrating to watch.
