Schiff: Trump is seeking re-election to avoid prison time

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff dropped a truth bomb recently when he said that out of all the reasons President Donald Trump is seeking a second term in the White House, the most prominent one may be to avoid going to prison.

Trump’s former lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen is being sent to prison for three years in a felony scheme that also features a co-conspirator who has not yet been indicted, referred to as “Individual 1”, who is now known to be none other than President Trump. If “Individual 1” is indicted, then a prison sentence could accompany that, however, if Trump wins reelection, then the statute of limitations (five years) would run out during his second term, and Justice Department guidelines which preclude indicting a sitting President thereby allowing Trump to avoid prosecution at all.

so much, as there'll be a recognition that the country is horribly split and that dragging it on will not help the country heal. I think it would be the wrong approach but time will tell, I'm not expecting a lot.

like it is a 50/50 split.

It's not, but we have GOT to be able to accurately count the votes to prove it. He is down to his shrinking base of 30's. And they will still vote for him even if he is caught fucking a live boy, who he then kills, in the middle of 5th avenue.

We KNOW Pootie-Poot got in and affected 2016, yet it is nothing compared to what he will do this time. He didn't access almost EVERY STATE'S DATABASE to sit back and do nothing...

All we need to do to allow this to happen is to swallow the lie that we are
"horribly split", and allow rigged polls from groups with an agenda, to back up the lie, and THEN allow all the proof and documentation of his high crimes and treason to be withheld from the American people.

The only poll that will count is the one on election day.

We should ignore the polls and concentrate on GETTING OUT THE VOTE. Make sure we help get as many like minded voters to the polls as we can.

I have also said in the past, DOCUMENT your vote. Photograph it, with your id on the ballot/screen/scan sheet.

We MAY have to have enough verifiable proof of vote counting irregularities to show it is rigged. It wouldn't take much.

2020, and they'll have 2 years to not only reverse everything Trump has done, but potentially make major leaps forward in healthcare, gun control and immigration. There's that versus getting bogged down in retribution. Yes, they will start a commission to get to the truth of what happened, which could kill the GOP as a party, but I don't think they will go beyond that.

My Dad was part of a US/Canadian Special Forces outfit in WWII. At the reunions we always sing both national anthems. We also toast the Queen and the US President. Back in GWB years, I would not raise my glass for a toast to the president, and always mouthed the words "the office of the president of the United States." When I went to the last reunion in Canada in 2018, our (American) group toasted the "office of the president." His name was not mentioned. He is a pariah.

I wish the US had a better national anthem. Canada's is much easier to sing and is much more patriotic.

English version
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all of us command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

French version
Ô Canada! Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!

Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix!

Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.

Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

I have always believed that is the only reason DJT wants to be reelected. He has to know most of USA citizens despise him - of course, there are some with the same mentality that don't but I truly believe the majority can't understand how he became president in the first place. Adam Schiff is a trustworthy man, I agree with him.

Will the Dem AG and the new and improved DOJ play along? Are you sure?
