I spend the weekend at the Democratic Women's Club of Florida

annual convention.

My first time there and what a blast!

So many great speakers and breakout sessions - on immigration, how the ACLU is handling FL's Amendment 4 (returning citizens voting rights) debacle, communicating in a diverse country. Plus the opportunity to meet and talk to like minded women (and the men who support us) from all over the state.

Highlights: An award given to a 93 YO civil rights activist (I don't recall her name, sorry). She spoke for a moment and said, "I never knew there was a club for Democratic ladies! I'm going to go home and join my local club for the Democratic ladies!"

Luncheon speech by the great-granddaughter of Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt. Some nice family stories and remembrances.

And the piece de resistance - keynote address by none other than Jill Wine Banks, Watergate prosecutor and MSNBC contributor! She brought the house down.

People in blue states have no idea what we are up against here, but we are fighting and fighting hard.

In truth, Democratic women are our party's best bet to win in 2020. Dis us at your peril! (Not you, of course, Blue_true).

state (back to) blue! Things are looking up in this state right now with Stacey Abrams heading up Fair Fight for the vote and Fair Count for the 2020 Census. Jon Ossoff has declared for Johnny Isakson's seat and other progressives are challenging (GOP dirtbag) David Perdue for his Senate seat. We are on your side, neighbor mcar!

it would be very clear that it is a blue state. Every republican there who has won did it by cheating for the last several decades.

There's no way Gillum lost that election or Nelson either for that matter. Or Gov Bat Boy back his second term in office come to think of it.

After a wonderful Fri evening w the Dem Women's Club of FL wearing this Blue FL #JillsPin, I'm joining @kendisgibson at 2 CT/3 ET Saturday wearing the turtle pin to reassure you that slow but steady wins the race and that it takes time to build case for impeachment. Be patient.
