It seems a bit odd and convenient that Trump is blaming Iran once again?

Especially with Trump and both the Saudis have a tight relationship that wants Iran destroyed! Just last week, Trump was willing to send money to Iran, because he thought it would help with their sanctions that the US put on Iran, AFTER Trump broke the Iran Agreement! We are probably looking at war starting with Iran very soon?

3. He'll have to land AF-1 there and abandon the presidency, else there'll be a warrant for his arrest.

If NY gets an arrest warrant, as a private citizen, he'll be effed.

Oops. Pearl Harbor was real. (Lusitania was really sunk by a U-Boat, too) But there was that salt shaker Colin Powell swung around.

There always has to be some kind of trigger to get us into a real war.

Claiming Iran put Yemenis up to bombing Saudi oil fields sounds like a perfect story to get us into a shooting war with Iran. Except that whoever sent the drones bombed the Saudi fields, not us. So it's really none of our business.

We sold the Saudis billions worth of war stuff, so they can handle it themselves.

Besides, Trump won't go to war. He's the kind of (*can't use that word hrtr*) who talks big but doesn't have the stones to act.

4. Given the location of the oil fields Iran is more likely the origin of the attack than Yemen.

I was skeptical until I looked at a map.

However we should also consider that if it was Iran, then they are quite aware that this sort of attack will result in retaliation, so the question is, in my mind, "how does Iran see this as a winning play?".

Alone, Iran has no chance against our military. I do not think the Iranian leaders are insane or suicidal. I conclude that there are one or more global powers that are using Iran as a proxy and have pledged support to prevent total devastation. It still seems an oddly risky move.
