Trump displays his renowned business acumen when asked about the GM strike. Art of the DEAL!

Aaron Rupar
@atrupar

REPORTER: Do you stand with the autoworkers in the strike against GM?

TRUMP: "Well, I have great relationships with the autoworkers. I got tremendous numbers of votes from the autoworkers ... nobody has ever brought more companies into the United States."

He’s a reality tv personality... so ‘Scripts’.

When forced to speak extemporaneously, he clearly shows his dependence on ‘writers’. He can’t formulate coherent responses (let alone answers) to ad-hoc questions.

We need more reporters to hone their skills and ask questions that a normal person could parse, but twisted just a little bit so the HE will convolute his response based on his narcissistic tendencies.

We need more sound bites like this.

Disclaimer: I’m originally from Detroit and a multi-generational family with a long and dedicated history of union membership and support. My grandfather was a participant in some of the original flint autoworker strikes - and I’m very proud of that.
