is it pure greed? Desperation? Stupidity?

Three punks decide to rob a house, one takes out a gun and starts shooting.
Obviously the punk is a bad shooter, misses.

Homeowner returns fire, he knows what he's doing and all three punks are shot and killed.

Dope addicts? Simple assholes? Desperate?

Just sad.

CEOs of corporations whose greed drives them to engage in conduct which kills thousands daily and drives humanity ever closer to massive collapse, not so much.
