Election 2019: Illinois megadonor gives $500k to a single Virginia Republican.

It seems that
@jfradioshow
accurately reported firsthand that Nick Freitas would raise $500K+ in the July-August report. Richard Uihlein, a top conservative megadonor from Illinois, gave him $500K.

Yet another example of how insane our campaign finance laws are in Virginia.

Oligarch gives huge dollar donation to candidates, candidates vote in the interest of the oligarch, oligarch gets richer, oligarch gives even more money to candidates. Repeat and repeat and repeat.

If your work orders a lot from Uline and you have the ability to consider other vendors, please do so. Here's an excerpt from the most recent "Liz's Letter" on the Uline website:

Uline has branches across North America, including one in California and one in Texas. Those two states – the largest in the country – account for a whopping 20% of our nation's population.

California is a Blue State with progressive policies, high taxes and legalized marijuana.

Texas is a Red State that's socially conservative, believes in smaller government and has low regulations.

How do they compare?

Taxes – Californians pay the highest income tax in the country, 13.3%. Texas has no state income tax.

Regulations – California has some of the strictest environmental regulations in the country. Texas enjoys much of its economic windfall from oil and gas production driven by fewer restrictions.

Cost of Doing Business – Texas is considered the best state to do business. They don't collect corporate income tax, which attracts out-of-state businesses and job seekers from all over. California has some of the most burdensome occupational licensing requirements in America.

ordered from them. Now that I know this, there is no way I would ever give them a dime's worth of business.

I find it astonishing that an owner of a business dependent on sales of products that have nothing to do with politics would be so blatant about their political leanings on their business website.
