Mitt's obsession with "Quiet Rooms" needs more voter attention ...

Q: "Are there no fair questions about the distribution of wealth without it
being seen as envy, though?"

Willard thereupon dropped a bomb on himself.

A: "You know I think it's fine to talk about those things in QUIET ROOMS...
But the president has made this part of his campaign rally. Everywhere
he goes we hear him talking about millionaires and billionaires and
executives and Wall Street. It's a very envy-oriented, attack-oriented
approach."

-------------

Mitt needs to be asked "So who is invited to these "QUIET ROOMS" of which you speak?
... or maybe more importantly, who is NOT invited to these "quiet rooms" Mitt?

efforts to show us his human side. The more I read about mitt the more I am amazed he's a presidential candidate explainable only because of his vast financial backing and personal wealth.

about a decade ago, the good ole southern baptists took out ad after ad about the things Mormons believe. A Mormon friend I met a few years discussed this and she said, "yeah, they hate us".

Anyway, before it was blessed the local riff raff was allowed to take a tour. I didn't go, but the newspaper took photos. It was deeeelux and of course had quiet rooms..... It was interesting, but I still don't understand their religions twists and turns. I think what creeps me out the most is their active missionary work here in the US. Because we live so close to a temple we get lots and lots of young men pedaling around. I finally told them to please stop coming to my house/neighborhood, that someone came through once a month!

because of the above, I've done a bit of searching into Mormom beliefs and stuff and stuff.... I remain seriously surprised at the evangelical support for him because of his religion.

Anyone whom believes that a sex addicted polygamous con man is a prophet is in no capacity presidential material. Anyone whom takes Ayn Rand to be an intellectual giant is nuts too.

that happened a long time ago. What's even worse, modern day bishops are often labeled prophets or seers.... They tell the people in their flock (I don't remember what their church groups are called) what to do. And the people do it, because the bishop/prophet/seer has the inside track and is channeling some angel/deadprophet/god! That's another reason they are so "nice". They are afraid of doing something wrong effecting their chances of redemption and going to kolob. It is alos why Mitt does not feel he has to answer to "you people" - he basically views himself as a living god.

Plus y'all really ought to read about the sealing ceremony - ugh a mugga

They're voting for him because he's a Republican, and that's it. They purposely refuse to discuss his faith (though they have no problems discussing Obama's). They march in lockstep for the most part, and they're doing just that.

They hate that. It's more likely to work with the ones I know. His constant lies are making them wonder if he'd really be better.

so many things that make him unpalatable

lying
vagueness
flip flipping
out of touch elitism
and who exactly is the party leader this year? Usually it's the presidential candidate... but he seems to be in the shadow of policy makers and money lenders.

and then there is his running mate - can he even tell the truth?

Honestly, I think the Romneys believe they are the "chosen ones." How dare we ask Mitt about Bain Capital, his term as Governor of Massachusetts, his taxes, his Swiss bank accounts, his views on abortion, etc. However, he can stoke the tired birth certificate non-issue and lie about President Obama's non-Medicare cuts and non Welfare work requirements waivers.

Ann Romney reminds me of a younger version of Barbara Bush, "You People."

Someone needs to pointedly tell these people that WE ARE INTERVIEWING THEM FOR THE JOB OF PRESIDENT AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!

If you want to place blame for destroying the middle class, destroying the environment and massively contributing to climate change just look for the nearest Wall St investor. The bigger, the badder. All for me, all for now, screw future generations and the massive famines I will be partially responsible for.
Just be truthful about it at least. If your going to support those ends, only for profit & with no forethought about the ramifications on our natural world, don't lie to my face and tell me your someone who loves nature and hates greed.
I wish they would at least have the testicular fortitude to be honest about it. Yes, I envy your wealth. It would be cool to be able to have so much power and use it to actually try to create a better future for all creatures.
