Why is it that every time (or so it seems) that we want to make something, or build something, that we destroy something else?

I can't stand it.

This Is Not the Sixth Extinction. It’s the First Extermination Event.
What we are witnessing is not a passive geological event but extermination by capitalism.

For some 500 years, capitalism’s logic of eco-genocidal accumulation has presided over both the physical eradication of human and non-human life and the cultural eradication of the languages, traditions and collective knowledge that constitute life’s diversity. It necrotizes the planetary biosphere, leaving behind only decay. It burns the practically unrecoverable library of life and eradicates its future masterpieces simultaneously. It inflicts not just physical destruction, but psychological grief and trauma as people witness their lands go under the sea, get immolated by fire, and drown in mud.

Perhaps not intentional per se. But wanton ambition seeking after $$$ without any moral limit, no justification, no accountability. "I'm getting mine, the hell with y'all." The mindset they exist by.

Not savvy in affairs of the world. Where did capitalism take a wrong turn? Was it destined to become perverted and abused?

I don't half know where to place my Jesus-loving, Buddhist-minded, atheistic self, but I know I'm not that far from those who appreciate the beauty of those whom can feel: people are good/ can be good. I have to believe this. I'm good with such an assumption.

You're good. We're good. We just need to lift up? Yes?

That's what I feel. Doesn't make it any easier to witness these cruelties upon us and those stupidly considered different from us.

Is just how I'm going thru this - I really have no idea, but I have to keep going...& you tooo! We shall resist, persist, and survive. There's too many answers to human life's problems to let the profiteers of cruelty get away with their designs.

I am one with my sisters and brothers in humanity. God forbid I contaminate my professed beliefs and harm/judge my neighbor. My Faith exhorts, "The one next to you be elevated."
Selfishness and self-centeredness runs rampant today. The EGO.

We are admonished that we know where our 'church' is, but do not know where it is not. IOW, NO JUDGING! Some 'veins' of 'Christianity' are sadly unrecognizable when it comes to putting their 'bible' into action.

There'll come a day of reckoning. There are those who don't practice or embrace organized Chistianity and bear the imprint of the Creator in them more visibly than some religious attending a church.

Forgive me. I went off on a tangent.

You are beauty...

I initially signed on in '02 after shrub was selected. Then curtailed in '03 when we had to get my mom up from FLA. I read but dint post much. Then after that dread day in November 2016, I rejoined with a new name. A play on the words spring cleaning now or ow!
I was doing a personal prophetic thing hoping for the oval office et al to be recipients of 'thorough spring cleaning'. Which hasn't happened. Yet.
Mb Spring 2020. 🙏

I don't know sprinkle...

My 'screen name' comes from sea and sky. But, originally, comes from me playing way too much ntn trivia for pitchers of beer. Back in the day,... Such good times. The ones that make me happy to be me.

We're good, keep on keepin' on. We're all in here and that's good stuff.

I've known a good many moral people who were completely outside the Judeo Christisan mindset. I'm fine with this. I like folks to be good to folks.

We all have a short window to glimpse a rare beauty that is life. I'm okay with this.

Have you seen what the birds are doing lately? They're so cute. It's like a mini soap opera without so much drama.

and they're a pretty penny. But these little ones are so enjoyable. Had wren babies this year in back and a house finch made a nest right smack in our small front entrance in a wicker basket on the siding. I tried to not bother her unnecessarily. Heavy door stayed shut for her wellbeing until the kiddos flew off. So darling they are. I take all this as 'signs'. 🙂

It's said the Creator knows the heart. That's it right there...

I love the signalling? I'm gonna go on vacation soon and I'm setting up shop. I have a friend that'll come over and maintain my bird setup.

I love it, would totally do the same fir others in my hood. I've been tapering and adjusting. I adore my feathered visitors. Gets tricky when I have to exit. It's a good pull, tho, is my hobby.

I love my backyard birds. They're such freakin' neat cuties.

That one dude from the govt (I think it was Cambodia) sounded like tRump trying to lie about Climate Change. When he said, "All the people have to do is call this number to complain and it will be resolved, no problem". What BS. Like that one lady wouldn't have tried to call that number before spending $22,000 to reinforce her crumbling home.

Those poor people already with their modest structures to have that careless damage to their homes. It makes me so sick inside.
