In large measure, the current crisis in the Middle East can be traced back to Trump's ILLEGAL ACT

of unilaterally withdrawing the US from a valid multi-nation agreement with which Iran was in full compliance. In simple terms, we gave our word that we would abide by the agreement and then we reneged---we broke our promise.

This was done on the world stage and in full view of allies and enemies alike. It caused alarm and raised eyebrows among our allies and rejoicing among our adversaries. It has placed a stain on our national reputation that may prove indelible.

And, the only "reason" for this outrageous breach of our agreement that has any resonance is that "Obama did it so I must destroy it".

It is tragic that, in this time of turmoil and danger, the ship of state is without a captain and the village idiot is at the wheel.

The only thing I would add ...

There may be more than one reason ... it could also have been done as a favor for Putin .... as the destabilization of the USA is primary to him ... Putin wants the USA in chaos and weakened on the world stage.
