Regardless of whether it is an election issue.

Mitch is a savvy political operator. And he knows allegiance to no one, including Trump.

If the GOP President is tainted with the stink of disloyalty to our nation, McConnell can claim that he and his Senate power base are standing up for American democracy, distancing themselves from the stench.

I will bet dollars to donuts that Mitch already knows the nature of the breach, even while the Democrats (who, under law, should have been briefed weeks ago) are kept in the dark.

I will further bet that this breach is of such a serious nature that it will put the GOP in political and legal peril.

My friend thinks that he knows that the election will be stolen for Trump and that when that happens he can say that the election was on the up and up - no funny stuff - and we put $250 million into the states to assure a secure election.

Saw an article where the RWers wanted him to implement "Election Security Funding". I'm pretty sure that is not in the country's favor. It reminds me of NC recently wherein Repigs waited until most of the Democrats went to the 9/11 anniversary event and then voted to veto the governor.

I do not trust Republicans.
