I did not realize how much PayPal reams their merchants with fees.

.

PayPal is deviating from all merchant payment systems, where you could jam a seller by ordering something and immediately cancelling the order, even before the product ships. PayPal will charge the merchant anyway.

Louis Rossmann describes this practice in detail, as a real small business owner.

I was wondering why some sellers were no longer offering PayPal as an option. Now I know. PayPal is losing its exclusivity with eBay and their convenience with stored credit cards and bank account information is now commonplace with other payment processors.

They jacked up my interest rate last year, so I paid the account off. Now they're trying to mine merchants.

But for returns in which PayPal was used, offers a check through the mail. I knew it probably had to do with processing fees.

Some customers complain, but all in the end agree to take the check.

PayPal has been targeted tens of thousands of times a day, and has been for many years. Clearly, they don't outsource their IT, because just one breach of security and they're out of business forever.

Banksters don't care about Equifax fucking up security, they're just as willing to pay for a credit report from them, even though we have two somewhat competent credit bureaus still in the market. But small businesses and ordinary individuals aren't that stupid, and would leave PayPal as quickly as possible.
