In the end - he is just trying to avoid being wrong about a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. To me it suggests a fragile ego.

they can't be accused of bias. He's also a political science professor. Don't know if that's the case here but might be.

I wouldn't mind his haranguing so much if he at least for his facts straight. But half the time, he's just wrong about basic facts and makes assumptions that have no basis in reality.
