@JoyceWhiteVance

If this turns out to be what the whistleblower complaint is about & it’s accurate, Trump must leave office immediately. A president can’t offer US aid to a foreign country in exchange for prosecution of a political opponent. Heaven help us if we can’t all agree on that.

is the only thing that will make Trump leave as long as Republicans control the Senate. Taking back the Senate should be on top of the list. Without the Senate our next President will be able to do very little and if God forbid Trump cheat enough to win our have the Senate will put an end to Trump and his corruptions.

Where Democrats would have the power to subpoena more information and testimony, where it would be a win win. If Senate Republicans vote "NO" despite obvious criminal and treasonous behaviour, they would pay the price for it in 2020. In fact it would probably be better if they DID vote "NO". .....but top Democrats are afraid of Trump's cult followers getting (even more) angry and crazy. More important to get some "bread and butter" bipartisan legislation pushed through. Legislation that Republicans will claim credit for.

I think we were relieved that the ‘problem’ was taken care of without having to dirty anyone’s hands.
We live in different times. Now we have to get in the mud and wrestle with the pig.
It might have been a little easier if we had impeached Bush. That I hold against Obama. He was just way too kumbaya and let’s not rock the boat. Got us nowhere.

The power that WE GAVE THEM!!!!!

WE are the reason they’re in the majority, enjoying - but NOT taking full advantage of - the power that goes with that majority. Nadler and Pelosi seem more interested in being nice and fiddling with semantics and excuses while trump and the bad guys almost literally burn our country down.

Never forget this. And never let THEM forget this. They’re in the majority because WE DEMS, WE THE DEMOCRATIC BASE, worked our tails off for TWO YEARS to flip the House. TWO YEARS STRAIGHT of working, making phone calls, knocking on doors, sending letters, postcards, tweets, posts of all kinds on Facebook and elsewhere on the Internet. My Indivisible group and thousands of others (last I heard, there were 6,000 of them all over America). Nancy, you are Speaker of the House because of US, and all the work WE did. YOU OWE US!!!

I think EVERY time we reach out, in ANY way, we need to remind them of that. WE got them where they are. And we RIGHTFULLY expect results. And they ignore us (and fret all over what the CONS will think and what the independents will think) and wrongly make them the priority, neglecting US.

The GOP certainly doesn’t ignore their base. Why do our Dems ignore theirs?

Capturing the narrative, framing the debate, marketing, call it what you want, I can't recall one dem slogan that stands out like trickle down economics, Cadillac queens, tax and spend democrats, no child left behind, clean skies healthy forests. Why is that? We worry more about appealing to the disaffected republicans & independents than engaging the millions & millions of non-voters.

He’s a cofounder of the Problem “Solvers” Caucus, which reaps us mainly frustration. He spends most of his time running after republi-CONS and independents, most of whom probably won’t vote for him and who also did exactly ZERO work for two straight years to flip the House from red to blue. He’s one of those “Blue Dog” Dems who hasn’t stood up for impeachment and won’t see it our way of more sensible gun laws. He doesn’t want to touch an assault weapon ban, and actually won’t consider taking any guns away.

My Indivisible group has met with him a couple of times. He gets defensive easily and a few folks in his local office are like that, too.
