I think they just have the destroy the government thing down, but not necessarily well considered plans of what to do after that.

fellow citizens and our president.

It use to be we were afraid Russia would cause us to lose democracy. Now our elected leader is allied with Russia.

Illegal disregard of laws and constitution are characteristics of coups and that is certainly taking place now. I would not put it past him to cancel our election to hold his power, and the actions of Barr and McConnell allowing this unlawlessness by Trump could all be being orchestrated by Putin himself. Hard to believe, yes I know, but then what is happening now is hard to believe is happening at all. And all three of them have openly abdicated their oaths of office and are acting like traitors.

5. It would be hard to cancel elections.

Each state is in charge of its own elections. All fifty states would have to go along with cancelling the election. I can't see that happening.
