Do you know what the “attention economy” is?
Look it up. It has us all captive

There may very well be individual journalists who are interested in the truth, but the handful of media owners are only interested in money

They need captive eyes and ears, they need ratings, they need clicks, they need revenue

They need Trump. Trump needs them

Not sure if we about the free thing

but I'm not sure if it's productive. to my mind, the media has always had a profit motive .. but a free press still oh so much better than the alternative.
