2. They don't know who the whistleblower is, so how do they subpoena him/her?

I wonder if the former congressman has any other easy ideas ...

Is there legal exposure to the whistleblower personally if he/she were to go to congress or Rep Adam Schiff on their own?

If he/she doesn't follow the Whistleblower statute to the letter, they lose all whistleblower protections.

They already are at risk even with the protections since this no one has any reason to trust that this administration will adhere to the Whistleblower law.
