And that was part of the concern about the full Syria pull-out, that the Kurds didn't have the resources to secure those prisoners.

Kurds are spread over in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Armenia, and Turkey.

Believe the UN and some Humanitarian Group negotiated some type of Peace deal where by this area would not be bombed by the US or Syria.
