Mitt Romney to Homeless Issac Flood Victim: "GO HOME AND CALL 211!

Mitt Romney to Homeless Issac Flood Victim: "GO HOME AND CALL 211!

by luckyguyjoe

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney launched the final leg of his quest for the White House by visiting storm-battered Louisiana on Friday. He drove through a town that was flooded by Hurricane Isaac in part because it's still outside the vast flooding protection system built with federal funds after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.

Romney and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) spent close to an hour meeting with first responders and local officials. Romney shook hands with National Guardsmen outside the U.S. Post Office and talked with a local resident, Jodie Chiarello, 42, who lost her home in Isaac's flooding.

"He just told me to, um, there's assistance out there," Chiarello said of her conversation with Romney. "He said, go home and call 211." That's a public service number offered in many states.

WHAT? HE TOLD THE HOMELESS INDIVIDUAL WHAT? THEY LOST THEIR HOME AND
MITT TELLS THEM TO GO HOME AND CALL 211? ARE YOU SERIOUS? WHAT?

Willard just came off the republican convention where they TRIED to portray him
as a caring human being. Where they tried to show his softer side and put an end to
his image as a robot. They spent 3 days using every possible angle to make Willard
seem like just another guy.
And when he meets one of homeless victims from the recent hurricane he merely
brushes them off and says "go home...call 211"! Willard...their home is gone!
They have no home. Its been flooded. Go home? To where Willard? They don't
have 4 or 5 homes like you do. They've got one home that was destroyed and they
need help..like right now!
Thanks willard. Great caring man. You could show some compassion. Obviously
you've never met anyone who lost their home or their job or their loved one
in a war or lost their home to foreclosure. They are everywhere Willard.
You won't meet them in the board room at Bain. They're all over the nation right
now. They need help and you tell them to go home...TO WHERE WILLARD?
LOST YOUR HOME...GO HOME AND CALL POLICE!
LOST YOUR JOB...GO HOME AND SEE IF THERE'S ANY FOOD FOR THE KIDS.
LOST YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE...DON'T WORRY...IF YOU GET SICK CALL 911 OR
211 OR JUST SUCK IT IN!
YOU'VE GOT CANCER AND NO COVERAGE. GO HOME..LAY DOWN. WE REALLY
NEED THAT MONEY WE WOULD HAVE SPENT ON YOU TO GIVE MY BUDDIES
AT BAIN ANOTHER TAX BREAK!

Is willard for real. Someone please tell me this didn't happen. Please tell us
this whole story is made up. I pray it was a huge mistake.

Wouldn't that just get some "government worker" or "bureaucrat" that Mitt despises so loudly?

Mr. Romney let the cat out of the bag yesterday, when he misspoke and called our country "a company."

No mere slip of the tongue. It is a mindset, a way of life.

It follows that the American people, at least the little ones, are employees--with luck, working only for minimum wage with no benefits and, for Pete's sake, no unions to make the first two less likely.

Thus, telling this woman to go home and phone 211 makes perfect sense. Romney too used government subsidies and loopholes at Bain whenever he could find them. Only a stupid man turns down resources, for Pete's sake.

Only thing, the woman had better make that phone call soon. If Romney is elected, that emergency number and resources behind it, will be disconnected. Only the little people need such resources. The others live on hills, well above the floodwaters.

Romney. He's running for president, for Pete's sake.

and he is a zombie walking the streets, completely disconnected from everything around him - at least when it comes to people.

He HAD to become that in order to practice the career that he chose - one that required him to objectify society in order to buy and sell and extract money from things in order to make money.

He didn't "make" anything. He "didn't build that". He took something that someone ELSE "built" and destroyed it in order to extract the nutrients (money) from it for his own benefit. He is the personification of those who torture - they have no feeling when they do what they do.

Romney To Homeless Hurricane Victim: ‘Go Home’ | Yesterday, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney visited Louisiana, where much of the state was flooded due to Hurricane Issac. While visiting the Pelican State, however, Romney had some odd advice for one victim of the hurricane who had lost her home due to the flooding. According to Jodie Chiarello, a suddenly homeless resident of the state, Romney advised her to “go home and call 211.” 211 is a telephone number in Louisiana that provides information to residents about health and human services programs.
