whistleblower complaint. It was supposed to go directly to Congress but they confiscated it.
They should be in the crosshairs of some kind of punishment, or are they above the law too?

(6,797 posts)it wouldn't go anywhere. If the whistleblower really wanted something done they would have went straight to congress.

...therefore does not qualify as a whistle blower.
BUT WAIT UNTIL ITS VERIFIED! The cnn report could be bs.

(16,616 posts)Still, the actual source of the information might be a jaw dropping name, like say John Bolton or some of the other names that have been conjectured. The whistle blower could be a "nobody" but we have to learn the actual source.

(14,893 posts)Traitor45 claims he hasn't read it, but then said "Everybody's read it. They laugh at it." I know that nothing at all that he says is credible, but if he has been showing it around to "everybody" (with the notable exception of Congress), he is guilty of mishandling what should have been confidential. He should have to answer for this and so much more.

(5,812 posts)That's why nothing is happening, IMO. Money is the mother's milk of politics. Look who and what (read Koch Bros) are supporting the evil that runs our government today. One cannot run a campaign unless one has big bucks. And while we the little guys contribute, since Citizens United, we are nothing compared to what the bastards with "Inc" after their names can contribute.
And...the fucking Evangels are too stupid from drinking Jeebus Kool-Aid to see it what the hell is happening. They are too damn busy restricting women's healthcare rights to see beyond that the RW Evangel leaders are getting rich off of using them.

(4,600 posts)as Attorney General in charge of the "Justice" Department and complicit Congressional Republicans are silent or actively abetting as the rule of Law, our Constitution and our Democracy are burned to the ground in plain sight. Democrats are busy taking the "High Road", issuing strongly-worded memos, and initiating court cases which will drag on and still not be resolved by the time Trump, aided by McConnell and Putin steals the next election.

(10,749 posts)What whistleblower? Thats so Monday. Its now Saturday. New crisis. New scandal.
Oh, and theres this. Were sending troops to die in Saudi Arabia. Im sure their families will be so proud as they look at their folded, framed flag and know that their children died to protect a murderous regime on behalf of a petulant child.
But next morning Monday we wont even be thinking about those troops because there will be more lies and crises and scandals.
I long for the days of Dijon mustard-gate.
