That's about where we are!

[link:|

In all the years since I started protesting the VN War in the 1960s, I never thought I would see the shit we are seeing today. Each day I feel as tho I am in a nightmare and will and should awake any moment ... and then I realize we are living in this motherfucking nightmare and there is no awakening from it until MF45 is removed from office.

This last biz...the whistle blower report...has really gotten to me. I lived through the impeachment of Nixon, the BS VN War, the bombing of Iraq and had convinced myself I had seen the worse.

I never imagined what we are seeing today.

I don't think that everyone ( as of today, Saturday) knows or realizes the essence of the crime. And that one will take some time...Nixon tried to erase the tapes, or did erase them. In the end..I think that did it.

Here, Trump contacts ...THE foreign adversary - Russia to get dirt on his opponent Joe Biden. But, I think it will take time for the realization to take hold. A little like the flu spreading. Little by little it spreads.
Eventually most get it.

Too bad he can't give us dementia or Alzheimer's, so we could forget him... (I am certainly not making light of any of these illnesses)

"Repulsive" has been hitting new lows. Yet he can, and does, go lower.

We have got to make Repulsive and Republican synonymous.

Here is hoping that this one finally does it....

or gets impeached and convicted, or resigns, or gets crushed in the 2020 election, or lives, or dies, or stays in the country or leaves it with or without his entire crime family (blood, marriage, and other).

His base will still be here. And they grow more guanopsychotic with every passing day.

And they vote, and they have guns. (yes, we vote too, and some of us have guns. But ...)

I don't want to be a total downer. Has anyone any constructive ideas o what to do with them?

IF it makes a big difference in public opinion (ahead of judicial decisions), it will be because it helps people on the LEFT who failed themselves and their nation in 2016 do better.

Some negligents will have woken up not to how bad they were but to at least something of the RW threat. We shouldn't expect new wisdom in those who betrayed by not voting Democrat, but it should help with others among them that Biden is a white man and not a woman. Fewer will enjoy being subverted by "dirt" slurs targeting their flaws and weaknesses.

In any case, in all of them fear is a great motivating factor. Just wish it manifested as more commitment in this trying period, instead of in whining and ankle-gnawing. I'd be glad trade the lot for some RW types who were straining to get at their enemies instead.

If the Democrat wins, then Trump must vacate the office by noon on Jan. 21st. If he refuses he’ll be dragged out of office. Not even the Supreme Court would allow him to stay in office one second longer.

Thus far the Republican Senate has had it pretty easy. They lay back, let Trump do his worst, ignore the hue and cry and wait for the next turd sandwich to come out of the White House. Impeach Trump in the House, send it to the Senate, then make the lazy bastards record their votes on the Congressional record! Let their constituents see what gutless, lawless pieces of rat dung they are. No more free lunch for the gutless cowards in the GOP controlled Senate.

I share your history of protesting Vietnam. As bad as McCarthy yelling about commies everywhere and blacklisting those brave enough to stand up to him, watching my cousins PTSD from Vietnam, the WMD debacle, Big Pharma, the destruction of our planet -- all of these things don't compare to where we are in 2019. We cannot wait until an uncertain result in 2020.

Congress must act NOW. IMPEACH!

I lost my first love in VN. I will never forget what that war did to so many. War is not the answer...we learned that long ago. I protested the bombing of Iraq and look how many lives have been lost there. They are now sending young people who were born AFTER the bombing started.

Who wrote me every month but still protested. He got arrested in DC. He, like you, separated the Wat from the Warrior. I probably would have protested but I didn’t get out until 1972. I enlisted for 4 years and ended up an intelligence unit. I am very proud I served but promised both daughters if they enlisted I’d break their legs. 😇

My son is a Vet, but he served in peace time -- in the Navy -- in the 1990s. This was a good deal for him. He matured like I could not believe! But I do agree...in today's world, enlisting is NOT a good idea!

When I heard them claim a President cannot even be investigated I thought gee, Al Capone should have gone into politics where, according to Dump, everything is just politics as usual: "us vs. them." Then Mr. Capone, too, could have claimed that anything threatening to him is nothing more than his political opponents trying to bring him down.

And John Gotti. And Bernie Madoff. And a host of others.
