While listening to AM Joy talk about the Lewandowski hearing I had a thought.

They talked about the Rethugs doing a performance because they know it is reality TV.

How about it I’d the Democrats played the game better then the Rethugs and make them look totally stupid.

One Democrat, at the beginning of his/her time could say something like:
Rep. Jordan, I am concerned about your health. If you don’t calm down you might give yourself a stroke.

Another Democrat could place a blood pressure cuff on the table and state that it is available should anyone feel that they need to check their blood pressure.

Arrange for a liberal doctor to attend the hearing and announce that there is a doctor in the house should their be a medical emergency.

You get the drift. Humor, along with killing them with kindness, could go along way to deflating the blowhard Rethugs while making them look foolish.

Right after a Rethugs rant, the next Democrat could say something like

Thank you for attending the latest Republican Party Reality show. The theme of this episode is Hey look over there. There is nothing in front of you to see.

8. Democrats fail far too often.

It they want to succeed, beat the Rethugs, and take back our country they HAVE to learn how to play the game better. Optics count. Preparation counts. This is not rocket science. The Rethugs are totally predictable but the continually run rings around the Democrats making the Democrats look stupid. Principles alone will not save the day. Yes the Democrats need to dot the Is and cross the Ts but there is so much more they can do.

It is not enough to get the WH back. If they can’t get McConnell voted out, winning the WH will accomplish anything unless they gain control of the Senate. If Moscow Mitch continues to control the Senate he will do nothing but obstruct and stonewall.

People want results and if they don’t feel like they are getting what they voted for they may stay home in 2020. The only card the Democrats have to play is the fact that Trump is so bad.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. It is beyond frustrating because they show that they have learned anything and adapted their actions accordingly.

There are some really great Democrats in Congress but they cannot do everything by themselves.
