Paul Ryan Backtracks On Sub-3-Hour-Marathon Claim

Paul Ryan Backtracks On Sub-3-Hour-Marathon Claim

After Runner's World magazine called into question Paul Ryan's claim that he ran a marathon in less than three hours, the Republican vice presidential nominee backtracked. Ryan told The New Yorker, through a spokesman:

“The race was more than 20 years ago, but my brother Tobin—who ran Boston last year—reminds me that he is the owner of the fastest marathon in the family and has never himself ran a sub-three. If I were to do any rounding, it would certainly be to four hours, not three. He gave me a good ribbing over this at dinner tonight.”

Really, we love you! And we get that a little embellishing isn't anything to make a federal case out of. Please keep telling us stuff. We love it. Really, we do!

10. The press put words in Al Gore's mouth, then accused him of lying.

It was despicable. Almost like bullying, imho.

So Paul, you say you can cut taxes on the rich (again), increase military spending and still eliminate the deficit?? Yeah, right.

So Paul, you say you can slash Medicare payments with these vouchers and all the seniors will still be covered?? Yeah, right.

Like its a sign of strength and machismo. Remember Dough-boy drunkie Bush claiming this iron man status as well? Someone once put out that he could run a six minute mile. As if.
