If it were Trump's son, Junior, on the board of the Ukrainian public utility company,

Trump and Junior would get a free pass, claiming it was legitimate business, no corruption, etc.

We have Manafort going over to Ukraine and taking oligarch money to influence politics there, and we all acknowledge that something stinks about that. But we have Hunter Biden doing what looks like the same thing, and we say it's no big deal.

I'm sure someone has a long-winded explanation as to why the two things are different, but if it can't be explained in one paragraph with no more than three sentences, then the vast majority of the American people will say, "Well, they all do it."
